These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all classes, courses, programs, and activities provided by Sol Passion Music Limited (“Sol Passion Music,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in Hong Kong (CR No. 1933474), with its registered address at 4F Tung Kin Factory Building, 200–202 Tsat Tsz Mui Rd, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong. 

 
By enrolling in any course, class, or program, you (“you” or “the Student”) agree to these Terms. If you are under 18, parental or guardian consent is required. 

 

GENERAL DISCLAIMER 

Information, pricing, and schedules displayed on our website or marketing materials are subject to change without notice. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, Sol Passion Music is not liable for any technical errors, outdated content, or third-party disruptions. 

Any external websites or product links found outside of our official website are not under our responsibility, as technical issues, price discrepancies, or outdated information may occur due to third-party systems. In the event of any pricing discrepancies, the rates listed on the official Sol Passion Music website at the time of payment shall prevail. Sol Passion Music shall not be liable for indirect loss, loss of data, or business interruption resulting from such third-party issues. 

 

CLASSES AND COURSE DISCLAIMER 

Sol Passion Music may assign, subcontract, or delegate any of its rights or obligations to third parties when necessary to deliver our services. If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections remain in full effect. These Terms represent the entire agreement between Sol Passion Music and the Student. 

 

FEES, PAYMENTS & ATTENDANCE 

All class, course and program fees are non-transferable and subject to our Cancellation & Refund Policy. 

Full payment (or first installment, if applicable) must be received before the start of any class, course, or session. 

Students must arrive on time; instructors are not obligated to extend sessions for late arrivals. 

Absence or failure to attend without appropriate notice (as outlined below) does not entitle the Student to a refund or rescheduling. In exceptional cases (such as verified medical emergencies for example), Sol Passion Music may, at its sole discretion, offer rescheduling or partial credit. 
 

PROGRAM TYPES & PAYMENT MODELS 

Sol Passion Music offers two main types of learning structures, each with distinct payment and commitment models: 

1. Classes, Courses & Prac Room Hire 
   This category covers all one-time payments, installment plans, course packages, private lessons, and the “Upfront & Save” Accelerator option. 
    
   Students in this category pay in advance for a set number of lessons or practice sessions. Payments are made once (or in installments) and are not automatically recurring. These options are best suited for students who prefer flexibility and direct control over their schedules, while still benefiting from professional instruction.

    

2. Accelerator Program 
   This category operates under a recurring monthly subscription model and includes the Essential, Core, Complete, and “With a Friend” variants. Students are charged automatically each month on the same billing date until cancellation, in line with the program’s minimum term. 
   Accelerator Programs are designed for consistent, long-term development with ongoing mentorship and structured progression. 

The “Upfront & Save” payment option for the Accelerator Program is governed by the Classes, Courses & Prac Room Hire terms, as it is a one-time payment rather than a recurring subscription. Conversely, the “Accelerator” terms cover all recurring payment models and subscriptions. 

RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS 

Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled session. 

For Sunday and Monday classes, cancellations must be made by Saturday at 7:00 PM, as our front-line and scheduling teams are unavailable on Sundays. This ensures we can process your request within our 24-hour cancellation policy timeframe. 

Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a HKD 150 penalty fee or result in the loss of one class credit from the package. 

Missed sessions cannot be extended, and time will not be added to future lessons. 

 
PRACTICE ROOM HIRE 

Practice Room Hire hours: 

Monday –Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM 
Saturday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM 
Sunday: Closed 

Cancellations or rescheduling must occur at least 24 hours in advance, or for Monday bookings, by Saturday at 7:00 PM. 

Late cancellations or no-shows will incur a HKD 50 penalty fee, or one practice credit will be deducted. Penalty fees must be settled prior to the next scheduled class or practice session. 

Late arrivals will not receive additional time. 

If you have specific technical or equipment requirements (such as additional CDJs, turntables, or specialised gear), please inform us in advance. We will confirm availability and advise of any additional costs where applicable. 

 
EXPIRATION 

All prepaid classes, courses, and practice room hires are valid for 12 months from the purchase date, unless otherwise stated in writing. After this period, any unused sessions, credits, or lessons will automatically expire and cannot be redeemed, rescheduled, or refunded. In special circumstances (e.g., verified medical leave), Sol Passion Music may approve a one-time extension of up to one month beyond the 12-month expiry, subject to management discretion. 

We encourage students to plan their learning journey within this timeframe to ensure consistent progress and access to updated course materials, equipment, and curriculum. 

At Sol Passion Music’s discretion, and depending on availability, returning students may be offered tailored options to continue their learning journey after expiry. Such arrangements are considered on a goodwill basis only and may vary according to current programs, pricing, and scheduling. 

This goodwill gesture does not constitute a contractual right or guarantee of renewal, and Sol Passion Music reserves the full discretion to determine eligibility, timing, and any applicable fees. 
 

“WITH A FRIEND” PACKAGE 
 
Students who purchase a “With a Friend” package fall under the “Classes, Courses & Prac Room Hire” Terms. Both participants are jointly and severally liable for the full program fee. If one participant cancels or ceases attendance, the remaining participant becomes responsible for the full fee unless a replacement participant is approved in writing by Sol Passion Music management. 

 

“UPFRONT & SAVE” ACCELERATOR OPTION 

Students who purchase the “Upfront & Save” Accelerator under a single payment fall under these “Classes, Courses & Prac Room Hire” Terms rather than the recurring Accelerator Terms. 

STUDIO ACCESS & EQUIPMENT USE 

Our studio spaces are designed for focused learning and creativity. To maintain a professional and safe environment, please note the following: 

• All Sol Passion Music premises are non-smoking. 

• Only students currently enrolled in a class, course, or with valid practice room hours may use the studios. (Parents or guardians may accompany students under 16 where pre-approved.) 

• Any additional practice time beyond what is included in your course or package must be arranged and confirmed by Sol Passion Music management in advance. 

• Each student is responsible for ensuring that no equipment or property is damaged, lost, or stolen due to their actions or negligence. 

• Students are also responsible for the behavior and actions of any guests they invite onto the premises. 

• In the event of damage, loss, or theft caused by a student or their guest, where negligence is reasonably proven, Sol Passion Music reserves the right to recover the full cost of repair or replacement and may terminate enrollment without refund. 

• Sol Passion Music property may not be removed from the premises without written permission. 

• Equipment and studio hire are available to students based on availability and may incur additional fees. 

• Any suspected vandalism or theft will be reported to the Hong Kong Police Force, and Sol Passion Music reserves the right to disclose relevant student information to the authorities. 

 

SPECIAL NEEDS 

Please inform us of any special physical or medical requirements you may have prior to payment, in order for us to try to meet them as far as practicable. 

STUDENT CONDUCT  

Audio and Video recording, or still photography, is permitted on school premises for personal, non-commercial use, provided it does not disrupt lessons, violate the privacy of others, or compromise safety. Sol Passion Music encourages the sharing of positive experiences that reflect our community values. 

Sol Passion Music reserves the absolute right to require the immediate removal of any content created on our premises that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be defamatory, bullying, damaging to our brand, harmful to our community, or otherwise contrary to basic morals and ethical standards. Failure to comply may result in suspension or expulsion. 

Sol Passion Music further reserves the right to suspend or expel any student deemed (by Sol Passion Music in its sole discretion) to be unsuitable and/or unacceptable through the student’s (or, where relevant, the student’s guests) conduct or attitude. In such cases, the student/s will not be entitled to any form of partial or full refund for lessons missed. 

You may be required to verify your identification upon entry. 

 

 
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 

All intellectual property rights (including without limitation registered design, curriculum, teaching methods, copyright, database right, trade marks, application to register any of the aforementioned rights, trade secrets and/or know-how) in Sol Passion Music materials and courses are and shall remain the exclusive property of Sol Passion Music or its licensors. 

Sol Passion Music shall own all intellectual property rights in any recordings, writings, or other materials created by Sol Passion Music employees during the provision of courses where Sol Passion Music or its employees have contributed to the composition, recording, or production. Any unauthorized reproduction, dissemination, broadcast, or other use of such Sol Passion Music-owned materials is prohibited and shall constitute a breach of this Agreement and an infringement of copyright. 

From time to time, Sol Passion Music may offer certain students publishing, production, licensing, or administration arrangements for songs or recordings presented by the student. All such arrangements shall be subject to separate terms. 

 

 

PRIVACY & DATA (CAP. 486) 

Sol Passion Music complies with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). 
Your personal data may be collected and used for: 

• Class scheduling, billing, and internal communications; 

• Personalizing your learning experience and communication based on information you provide in the Student Onboarding Form; 

• Marketing updates and event invitations (only with your consent); 

• Analytics and service improvements. 

Data will never be sold to third parties and is protected using industry-standard security measures. Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and may be stored on secure third-party platforms (e.g., cloud-based CRM or email systems) with equivalent data protection standards. By enrolling, you consent to being photographed or filmed for internal or promotional purposes, unless you notify us otherwise in writing.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 

Sol Passion Music’s liability to you hereunder shall be limited to the total amount you have actually paid to Sol Passion Music for the applicable course. Except as set out herein, Sol Passion Music shall under no circumstances be liable to you, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for any indirect or consequential loss arising hereunder or in connection with the courses provided by Sol Passion Music. Nothing in this Agreement shall operate to limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. For the avoidance of doubt, Sol Passion Music shall not be liable for any loss or termination hereunder resulting from or arising in connection with any student visa status or other reason related to immigration matters. Sol Passion Music: 

• accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or theft of personal belongings; 

• reserves the right to alter advertised instructors at any time; 

• reserves the right to cancel courses at any time and/or to transfer bookings to rescheduled dates, in such cases, Sol Passion Music will use reasonable efforts to provide a make-up session or alternative schedule; 

• reserves the right to vary the course materials without notice and/or to refuse any application or request for a course booking without giving a reason; 

• accepts no responsibility for the quality of services or products provided or offered by third party advertisers and/or vendors (and any inclusion in course materials or other presence during a course does not constitute a recommendation or endorsement by Sol Passion Music). 

 

FORCE MAJEURE 

For the purposes of this Agreement, “Force Majeure Event” means any event beyond the reasonable control of Sol Passion Music including without limitation strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes, failure of a utility service or transport network, act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, including governmental visa status, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm or default of suppliers or subcontractors. Sol Passion Music shall not be liable hereunder as a result of any delay or failure to perform its obligations as a result of a Force Majeure Event. If the Force Majeure Event prevents Sol Passion Music from providing any of the Services and/or Goods for more than four (4) weeks, Sol Passion Music shall, without limiting its other rights or remedies, have the right to terminate this Agreement by written notice. 

 

COMPLAINTS 

If you should ever have any complaint(s), please speak to any member of staff and we will do our best to resolve the matter. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact the Director at the following address [email protected] in writing and he will look into the matter for you. 
 

DISPUTE RESOLUTION 

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through informal negotiation. If unresolved, both parties agree to attempt mediation under the Hong Kong Mediation Council before pursuing any legal action. 
 

LAW AND JURISDICTION 

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. 

If you do not accept these Terms, you must immediately terminate the use of this Site and our services. 

ACCELERATOR ESSENTIAL, CORE, COMPLETE & BRIDGING (includes SINGLE + WITH A FRIEND VARIANTS)

ENROLLMENT & PAYMENT CYCLES 

Your payment cycle begins on the date of your successful enrollment / sign-up date and recurs monthly on the same calendar date. 

The monthly fee is automatically charged based on the selected program (Essential, Core, Complete, and Bridging – including SINGLE + WITH A FRIEND variants) unless canceled per the policy. 

All fees are non-refundable, and no refunds will be issued for past payments. 

 

CANCELLATION POLICY 

You may cancel your enrollment only after completing two full billing cycles (2 months). 

No refunds will be provided, but you will retain access to lessons until the end of your last paid billing cycle. 

Pausing your subscription does not count toward the two-month minimum commitment. If you pause after one billing cycle, you must complete and pay for an additional billing cycle after reactivation before being eligible for cancellation. 

How to cancel: Send a written request to [email protected] or via Whats App to +852 9422 0367, at least seven (7) calendar days before your next scheduled monthly billing date, and we will process your cancellation. 

Program cancellation does not alter your obligations under the “Rescheduling & Cancellations” policy for any sessions booked prior to cancellation, nor does it circumvent the two-month minimum commitment. 

 

PAUSE POLICY 

Pausing means temporarily stopping payments for one billing cycle (one month).You are allowed one pause per program.  

A pause must be requested and confirmed by Sol Passion Music after you have completed your first billing cycle and before the next scheduled payment date; it cannot be applied retroactively. 

During the pause month, your monthly subscription fee will not be charged, and you will not receive your standard monthly allotment of lessons and practice sessions. You may schedule and use any unused lesson and practice session credits that you have carried over from previous months, in accordance with the “LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER” policy. Each lesson or practice session used during the pause month will be deducted from your total program lesson allotment. 
 
Your “Enrolled Student” status remains active for the purpose of accessing the studio to use these carried-over credits during the pause month. Your subscription, billing, and standard monthly credit allotment will automatically resume on the next scheduled billing date following the pause month. 

 

EXTENSION POLICY 

You may request one single extension of your program duration for a period of one (1) month. This request must be submitted in writing before your final program billing date. 

The extension month is provided as a courtesy to allow you additional time to complete unused lesson and practice session credits that you have carried over. You will not be charged any additional monthly fee during the extension month, and you will not receive a new monthly credit allotment. 

During the extension month, you may complete a maximum of three (3) Private Lessons and two (2) Practice Room Sessions, provided these are credits carried over from your original program in accordance with the “LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER” policy. 

Your “Enrolled Student” status remains active for the purpose of scheduling and completing these carried-over credits during the extension month. A program pause does not count toward your program duration and does not affect your eligibility for this extension. 

 

Example: A 5-month program with a 1-month pause in-between may be extended by one additional month, making the total duration 7 months (5-month program + 1-month pause + 1-month extension). 

 

EXPIRATION POLICY 

Each Accelerator Program follows a defined duration based on your selected plan (Essential, Core, or Complete) and corresponding monthly billing cycle. 

All lessons and practice room hires included in your subscription must be completed within the active billing period, including any approved pause or extension. Lessons or practice sessions not completed within this timeframe will automatically expire and cannot be carried over, rescheduled, or refunded beyond the allowed extension period. 

In certain cases, Sol Passion Music may, at its discretion, offer returning students an opportunity to continue or restart their learning journey under a new or adjusted program. Any such arrangement is considered a gesture of goodwill and assessed individually, depending on current offerings, pricing, and availability. 

While we’re always happy to help students find the best way forward, this courtesy does not constitute a contractual right or guarantee of credit renewal. All decisions regarding eligibility, timing, and terms remain at the sole discretion of Sol Passion Music. 

 

RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS 

Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours before the class.

Sunday: Closed 

 

LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER 

Students may carry over a maximum of 3 lessons and 2 Practice Room Sessions to the next billing cycle. 

The monthly scheduling limit is 6 lessons and 3 practice room sessions in any calendar month. 

When a student cancels their subscription and is granted an extension month, unused credits may be carried over into that final month, subject to the standard carryover limits (max 3 lessons, 2 practice sessions). The monthly scheduling limit of 6 lessons and 3 practice sessions applies during the extension month. 

Unused lessons and practice room sessions not scheduled within the next billing cycle, or within an approved extension month, will expire permanently. One program pause may be used to catch up on carried-over lessons and practice sessions. 

 

 

ACCELERATOR “WITH A FRIEND” PROGRAMS 
 
The Accelerator “With a Friend” programs operate under the standard Accelerator subscription Terms & Conditions. Both participants are jointly enrolled under a single subscription and are jointly and severally liable for the full monthly fee. If one participant cancels or ceases attendance, the remaining participant becomes responsible for the full individual subscription fee unless a replacement participant is approved in writing by Sol Passion Music management or the subscription is cancelled according to the cancellation policy. 

 

 

BRIDGING PROGRAM (ESSENTIAL, CORE, & COMPLETE DJ) 

Bridging allows students to upgrade from one DJ Accelerator program to a higher-tier program. Bridging is available from Essential DJ to Core DJ, from Essential DJ to Complete DJ, from Core DJ to Complete DJ, or other programs as expressly approved in writing by Sol Passion Music management, provided the student is in good financial and disciplinary standing. 

Bridging is available to students who have completed the two-month minimum commitment (2 billing cycles) of their current Accelerator program or who have finished the last payment cycle of their initial program. The new subscription fee and duration will be adjusted to reflect the remaining time in the higher-tier program’s timeline, as calculated and communicated by Sol Passion Music at the time of bridging. 

Bridging requires the student to either cancel their current subscription and purchase a new subscription for the higher-tier program or, upon the natural completion of their initial program, to purchase the new bridging product. This new subscription is a separate contract. The two-month minimum commitment (2 billing cycles) requirement does not apply to this new subscription. 

To cancel the current subscription for the purpose of bridging, the student must send an email request to [email protected] or via Whats App to +852 9422 0367. No refunds will be provided for the original program, but the student will retain access to lessons until the end of the last paid billing cycle. The standard Accelerator Program Terms & Conditions apply in full to the new subscription. 

Upon bridging, any unused credits from the original program are governed by the LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER policy. They may be carried over to the new subscription subject to the standard limits (maximum 3 lessons and 2 practice sessions carried over per month). 

 

ACCELERATOR EXPAND

ENROLLMENT & ELIGIBILITY 

The Accelerator Expand (“Expand”) is a separate monthly subscription product. Purchase is available exclusively to graduates of the DJ Accelerator Complete program or other programs as expressly approved in writing by Sol Passion Music management, provided the student is in good financial and disciplinary standing. 

Expand is not an extension, renewal, or modification of any prior subscription. The prior qualifying subscription must be fully completed, including the use or forfeiture of all lessons and practice sessions in accordance with its original terms, before the Expand subscription can commence. Students must actively purchase the Expand product. 

The payment cycle for the Expand subscription begins on the enrollment date for this product and recurs monthly on the same date for the subscription fee of HKD 3,100. 

All credits (lessons, practice sessions) are product-specific. Credits from any prior program cannot be transferred to the Expand program. The Expand subscription begins with a new monthly credit allotment. 

An active Expand subscription confers “Enrolled Student” status. This status provides access to a range of benefits, including preferential pricing and exclusive offers, which are detailed in current Sol Passion Music communications and are subject to change. All benefits are contingent upon maintaining an active subscription and terminate upon cancellation. 

Sol Passion Music reserves the right to suspend or terminate the subscription and access to all services if the student’s monthly payment fails or is declined. No refund will be issued for the partial period in which services are terminated. Reinstatement may be subject to a reinstatement fee at Sol Passion Music’s sole discretion. 

 
 

CANCELLATION POLICY 

The Expand subscription has no minimum commitment term. Students may cancel their future recurring payments at any time by providing written notice to [email protected] or via Whats App to +852 9422 0367, at least seven (7) calendar days before their next scheduled monthly billing date. 

Upon cancellation, the subscription and all associated “Enrolled Student” benefits will terminate conclusively at the end of the last paid billing cycle. No refunds will be issued for any past or partial months. 

When cancelling, students may request one (1) extension month to complete any unused credits carried over according to the LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER policy. This request must be made at the time of cancellation and is subject to the EXTENSION POLICY. 

Program cancellation does not alter the student’s obligations under the “Rescheduling & Cancellations” policy for any sessions booked prior to cancellation. 
 
 

PAUSE POLICY 

Pausing means temporarily stopping payments for one billing cycle (one month). You are entitled to a maximum of two (2) program pauses, provided the pauses are not taken consecutively. At least one (1) active billing cycle must occur between pause months. 

A pause must be requested and confirmed by Sol Passion Music after you have completed your first billing cycle and before the next scheduled payment date; it cannot be applied retroactively. 

The pause must be requested in writing to [email protected] or via Whats App to +852 9422 0367 at least seven (7) days before the next billing date. 

A pause suspends the monthly fee and the accrual of new credits for one billing cycle. It can be used for travel or to catch up on carried-over lessons and practice sessions according to the LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER policy. The student’s “Enrolled Student” status remains active during the pause month. 

A student cannot cancel their subscription during a pause month. To cancel, the student must complete the pause month and then submit a cancellation request with seven (7) days’ notice before the following billing date. 

A pause month cannot be immediately followed by an extension month. At least one (1) active billing cycle must occur between using a pause and being eligible for an extension upon cancellation. A request for an extension that does not comply with this rule will be denied. 
 

 

EXTENSION POLICY 

An extension month is available as a courtesy only upon cancellation of the Accelerator Expand subscription. It provides one final calendar month after the last paid cycle to complete any unused credits. 

Credits carried over into the extension month are subject to the standard carryover limits in the LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER policy (max 3 lessons, 2 practice sessions). During the extension month, students may schedule and complete a maximum of three (3) lessons and two (2) practice room sessions. No new monthly credits are provided. 

The extension must be requested in writing at the time of cancellation. The cancellation notice must be submitted to [email protected] or via Whats App to +852 9422 0367 at least seven (7) days before your last billing date. The student’s “Enrolled Student” status remains active for the duration of the extension month for the purpose of completing these sessions. 

Lessons or practice sessions not completed within the extension month will expire permanently and cannot be carried over, rescheduled, or refunded. This extension is a one-time courtesy and does not set a precedent for future requests. 

In exceptional, verifiable circumstances such as medical leave, Sol Passion Music may, at its sole discretion, offer individual arrangements on a goodwill basis only, which do not establish a precedent or a contractual right. 

EXPIRATION POLICY 

All lessons and practice room sessions must be scheduled and completed within the active billing cycle of an active subscription or the subsequent carryover period as defined in the LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER policy. Lessons or practice sessions not completed within this timeframe will automatically expire and cannot be carried over, rescheduled, or refunded. 

Upon cancellation with an approved extension month, all unused credits must be completed within that extension month as defined in the EXTENSION policy. Any lessons or practice sessions not completed by the end of the extension month will expire permanently. 

If a subscription is terminated due to persistent failed payment or material breach of these Terms, any unused credits may be forfeited at Sol Passion Music’s sole discretion. 

In certain cases, Sol Passion Music may, at its sole discretion, offer individual arrangements to returning students. Any such arrangement is a gesture of goodwill, assessed on a case-by-case basis, and does not constitute a contractual right or guarantee of credit renewal. 

 

RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS 

Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours before the class. 

For Sunday and Monday classes, cancellations must be made by Saturday at 7:00 PM, as our front-line and scheduling teams are unavailable on Sundays. This ensures we can process your request within our 24-hour cancellation policy timeframe. 

Late cancellations or no-shows for lessons result in a HKD 150 penalty fee or loss of a class credit from your monthly allotment. 
 
Late cancellations or no-shows for Practice Room Hire, result in a HKD 50 penalty fee or loss of a Practice Room Hire credit from your monthly allotment. Penalty fees must be settled prior to the next scheduled class or practice session. 
 
Business Working Hours for Scheduling/Sales/Front-Line: 

Monday –Friday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM 
Saturday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM 
Sunday: Closed 

 

LESSON & PRACTICE ROOM SESSION CARRYOVER 

Students may carry over a maximum of 3 lessons and 2 Practice Room Sessions to the next billing cycle. 

The monthly scheduling limit is 6 lessons and 3 practice room sessions in any calendar month. 

When a student cancels their subscription and is granted an extension month, unused credits may be carried over into that final month, subject to the standard carryover limits (max 3 lessons, 2 practice sessions). The monthly scheduling limit of 6 lessons and 3 practice sessions applies during the extension month. 

Unused lessons and practice room sessions not scheduled within the next billing cycle, or within an approved extension month, will expire permanently. One program pause may be used to catch up on carried-over lessons and practice sessions. 

 

REFERENCE 

The Terms & Conditions for the “Upfront & Save” Accelerator option are defined under the “Classes, Courses & Prac Room Hire” section. 

PERFORMANCE & GIG ELIGIBILITY 

To qualify for Student Sonic Kitchen performances and public gigs, students must complete their entire program. 

If a student does not complete the required lessons and they expire, they may purchase additional private studio sessions to meet the required lesson count and regain eligibility for performances. 

LOCATION OF COURSES 

Sol Passion Music courses are delivered in the Sol Passion Music Studio, 4F Tung Kin Factory Building, 200-202 Tsat Tsz Mui Rd, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong, unless specifically stated otherwise (e.g. recording and mastering studios, visits offsite to places of interest, live sound venues etc). Please refer to individual course details on the website at the time of booking and ensure you confirm again shortly before the start of your course. Students must ensure that they have confirmed the location of their course in advance. 

 

STUDIO ACCESS & EQUIPMENT USE 

Our studio spaces are designed for focused learning and creativity. To maintain a professional and safe environment, please note the following: 

• All Sol Passion Music premises are non-smoking. 

• Only students currently enrolled in a class, course, or with valid practice room hours may use the studios. (Parents or guardians may accompany students under 16 where pre-approved.) 

• Any additional practice time beyond what is included in your course or package must be arranged and confirmed by Sol Passion Music management in advance. 

• Each student is responsible for ensuring that no equipment or property is damaged, lost, or stolen due to their actions or negligence. 

• Students are also responsible for the behavior and actions of any guests they invite onto the premises. 

• In the event of damage, loss, or theft caused by a student or their guest, where negligence is reasonably proven, Sol Passion Music reserves the right to recover the full cost of repair or replacement and may terminate enrollment without refund. 

• Sol Passion Music property may not be removed from the premises without written permission. 

• Equipment and studio hire are available to students based on availability and may incur additional fees. 

• Any suspected vandalism or theft will be reported to the Hong Kong Police Force, and Sol Passion Music reserves the right to disclose relevant student information to the authorities. 

 

SPECIAL NEEDS 

Please inform us of any special physical or medical requirements you may have prior to payment, in order for us to try to meet them as far as practicable. 
 

STUDENT CONDUCT 

Audio and Video recording, or still photography, is permitted on school premises for personal, non-commercial use, provided it does not disrupt lessons, violate the privacy of others, or compromise safety. Sol Passion Music encourages the sharing of positive experiences that reflect our community values. 

Sol Passion Music reserves the absolute right to require the immediate removal of any content created on our premises that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be defamatory, bullying, damaging to our brand, harmful to our community, or otherwise contrary to basic morals and ethical standards. Failure to comply may result in suspension or expulsion. 

Sol Passion Music further reserves the right to suspend or expel any student deemed (by Sol Passion Music in its sole discretion) to be unsuitable and/or unacceptable through the student’s (or, where relevant, the student’s guests) conduct or attitude. In such cases, the student/s will not be entitled to any form of partial or full refund for lessons missed. 

You may be required to verify your identification upon entry. 

 

 
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 

All intellectual property rights (including without limitation registered design, curriculum, teaching methods, copyright, database right, trade marks, application to register any of the aforementioned rights, trade secrets and/or know-how) in Sol Passion Music materials and courses are and shall remain the exclusive property of Sol Passion Music or its licensors. 

Sol Passion Music shall own all intellectual property rights in any recordings, writings, or other materials created by Sol Passion Music employees during the provision of courses where Sol Passion Music or its employees have contributed to the composition, recording, or production. Any unauthorized reproduction, dissemination, broadcast, or other use of such Sol Passion Music-owned materials is prohibited and shall constitute a breach of this Agreement and an infringement of copyright. 

From time to time, Sol Passion Music may offer certain students publishing, production, licensing, or administration arrangements for songs or recordings presented by the student. All such arrangements shall be subject to separate terms. 

 

PRIVACY & DATA (CAP. 486) 

Sol Passion Music complies with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). 
Your personal data may be collected and used for: 

• Class scheduling, billing, and internal communications; 

• Personalizing your learning experience and communication based on information you provide in the Student Onboarding Form; 

• Marketing updates and event invitations (only with your consent); 

• Analytics and service improvements. 

Data will never be sold to third parties and is protected using industry-standard security measures. Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected and may be stored on secure third-party platforms (e.g., cloud-based CRM or email systems) with equivalent data protection standards. By enrolling, you consent to being photographed or filmed for internal or promotional purposes, unless you notify us otherwise in writing.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 

Sol Passion Music’s liability to you hereunder shall be limited to the total amount you have actually paid to Sol Passion Music for the applicable course. Except as set out herein, Sol Passion Music shall under no circumstances be liable to you, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for any indirect or consequential loss arising hereunder or in connection with the courses provided by Sol Passion Music. Nothing in this Agreement shall operate to limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. For the avoidance of doubt, Sol Passion Music shall not be liable for any loss or termination hereunder resulting from or arising in connection with any student visa status or other reason related to immigration matters. Sol Passion Music: 

• accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or theft of personal belongings; 

• reserves the right to alter advertised instructors at any time; 

• reserves the right to cancel courses at any time and/or to transfer bookings to rescheduled dates, in such cases, Sol Passion Music will use reasonable efforts to provide a make-up session or alternative schedule; 

• reserves the right to vary the course materials without notice and/or to refuse any application or request for a course booking without giving a reason; 

• accepts no responsibility for the quality of services or products provided or offered by third party advertisers and/or vendors (and any inclusion in course materials or other presence during a course does not constitute a recommendation or endorsement by Sol Passion Music). 

 

FORCE MAJEURE 

For the purposes of this Agreement, “Force Majeure Event” means any event beyond the reasonable control of Sol Passion Music including without limitation strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes, failure of a utility service or transport network, act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, including governmental visa status, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm or default of suppliers or subcontractors. Sol Passion Music shall not be liable hereunder as a result of any delay or failure to perform its obligations as a result of a Force Majeure Event. If the Force Majeure Event prevents Sol Passion Music from providing any of the Services and/or Goods for more than four (4) weeks, Sol Passion Music shall, without limiting its other rights or remedies, have the right to terminate this Agreement by written notice. 

 

COMPLAINTS 

If you should ever have any complaint(s), please speak to any member of staff and we will do our best to resolve the matter. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact the Director at the following address [email protected] in writing and he will look into the matter for you. 
 

DISPUTE RESOLUTION 

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through informal negotiation. If unresolved, both parties agree to attempt mediation under the Hong Kong Mediation Council before pursuing any legal action. 
 

LAW AND JURISDICTION 

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. 

If you do not accept these Terms, you must immediately terminate the use of this Site and our services.

In the event that any Sol Passion Music equipment or property is damaged, lost or stolen as a direct or indirect result of negligent action or failure to act appropriately by any customer or a guest of the customer, the customer agrees to pay all reasonable costs in full (including without limitation for replacement or reparation) and Sol Passion Music has the right to terminate future business without refunding a deposit. Any suspicion of vandalism or theft shall be referred to the Police, under the decision of Sol Passion Music in which any information, including prior and present details of the student/s in question, shall be disclosed.
